The San Francisco Chronicle has reported that DoorDash is collaborating with a Burma Superstar to start their very own offline store for the very first time.
Being a food delivery app, DoorDash was already familiar with offering their help to various restaurants. But to meet the growing demand for Burma Superstar deliveries, DoorDash decided to open a physical store called BurmaBites.
DoorDash and Burma Superstar have built a partnership to mesh together both of their business concepts and design a new menu that offers food delivery and pickup orders. Burma Bites now provides Burma Superstar delivery services on a broader scale, increasing their customer range while opening up more job opportunities within their community.
Georgie Thomas, regional partnerships leader, has said that this was about “empowering restaurants with the tools to connect with more customers and build new revenue streams.”
Information on the investment made into this project has not been disclosed, but it has been in the making for about a year. It was initially supposed to open in March- but it got delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Some of the features that are provided by Burma Bites include getting items from their secret menus such as the Mango Wings and Balachaung Fries. They have also added built-in commercial equipment to handle a larger capacity of food orders. Moreover, as stated by the Chronicle, Burma Bites’ menu prices range from $12 to $19.
It will officially open for business on October 28. Customers residing near Burma Bites local store can place an order for go or order for pickup or even get it delivered via delivery on the DoorDash Website or App.
To celebrate the beginning of BurmaBites, the first 100 customers that place an order at BurmaBites using DoorDash will get a limited edition DoorDash, and Burma Superstar branded retro lunchbox.
